The King of All Media & The Gays

Here is what the King of All Media (Howard Stern) had to about the gays:

“My feeling about gay people is that we have a responsibility not only to make gay marriage acceptable and to make gays feel accepted as much as heterosexuals…Gay people are downtrodden. They are beaten. They are abused for their sexuality, and it goes across race. In the white community and the black community gay people are the bastards of the world. And in order for things to change, because any one of you could have gay children, or gay relatives, or gay friends…we have a responsibility to make this acceptable, to get all this bullshit so that some gay kid going to high school doesn’t get the shit beaten out of him just because he’s gay…I’m as heterosexual as they come. What is this hang-up about gay marriage? Who cares? Get on with your life!”

For years, and I’m not proud to say it, I dismissed Howard out-of-hand as a headline grabber. Never did I think, in a 1,000 years, that I would be applauding his espousal of any cause…but now, I gotta say, with his audience – it’s pretty damn nice to have him in my corner.

I got ‘hooked’ on Howard when I visited my hetero family in Oregon…and they listen to (and swear by) Howard every day. KEITH said exactly what I have been saying to people.
In addition I have a gay son and truly applaud Howard.

Unfortunately Howard is preaching tot he choir. People who don’t support gay marriage don’t support or listen to Howard Stern. But is certainly nice to know that he is supportive but you can be sure that he will be mocked by those who hate us.

Wow… I am 150% impressed that the biggest trash talking man on the planet is backing gay marriage. Almost gives us hope for change.. Rock on Mr. Stern…

I’m impressed too, he’s not the jerk he plays on the radio. he is a love all serve all type, which is encouraging.

Seriously, Howard is not a jerk. He is an entertainer and comedian. He pokes fun at everyone…including himself. He talks about things that so many want to talk about but are embarrassed. He’s a good guy…give his show a listen.
