Two gay men kicked out of Chico’s Tacos restaurant for kissing

kissTwo gay men kissed at a Chico’s Tacos restaurant, prompting guards to eject them and a police officer to endorse their ouster.

Civil-rights lawyers say the security staff was out of line. Police, though, contend that a business such as a restaurant can refuse service to anybody, any time.

i think its a shame that people are so critical of one another..life is what it is..lighten up world..accept people for who they are..if they were straight it never would have happened.

In one of the linked articles from the El Paso Times a case is made by Ramón Renteria that no one should engage in kissing in restaurants; that such a display would be inapropriate behavior by anyone at all. Maybe he could get the city/county authorities in issue a non-kissing, regulation for public places – reataurants, bars, buses, parks, trains, planes, etc.  It would have to apply equally to everyone, everywhere. How would the public react if boys and girls had to stop innocent-looking kissing, hand-holding, hugging, and all the other little gestures of affection. WOuld it include parents kissing their babies?  Or their grandmas? Whether to kiss in public has always been left up to people’s concept of good manners and good taste.

First of all be sure the boys were just kissing. After that fact is established, get a damn good lawyer. If possible go back, with camera, and discreetly take pictures of boys&girls being affectionate, and kissing. This should help seal the deal,
    and to prove discrimination.

i do believe that a resturant can have standards, but come on i know that they were kicked for being two guys…if it was a straight couple no one would have even paid attention, you gotta admit…its the truth.
