Nadler Says DOMA Repeal Bill Will Not Include DP’s or Civil Unions

In an interview with the Bay Area Reporter this weekend, New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler said that he plans to introduce legislation either this week or once Congress returns from its August recess to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, but that bill will not include extending rights to LGBT couples in domestic partnerships or civil unions.
