    Using any religion’s holy image in this manner is childish and inflammatory. I don’t care what this designer has done in the past, he should be chastised for this in the press. I think it is sad that he has no respect for other people’s beliefs.

    How about a star of David, the western yin-yang (male-female union)? The up triangle represents the male eros. The down triangle the female eros. Of course Eros is sex but it is so much more. Everyone embodies both forms of eros, but one or another dominates at different times.

    Wouldn’t that be a more interesting bedroom conversation? O, my bad, conversation is not what bedrooms are for.

    Sutherland comments on his choice of religious subject matter saying, “We chose to introduce the ‘I Love…’ with Jesus and Buddha because whether you subscribe to their doctrines or not, there is no denying that each man became an icon by living his life to the fullest and living it from the heart.

    It is exactly this type of thing that gets the right wing all fired up and working against gays. It is tacky, tasteless and completely unwarranted. If you have an issue with religion, rail against it in a productive way. This is immature and inflammatory, exactly what is NOT needed. It degrades our argument and is certainly blasphemous to many. If muslims can be inflamed by so little, it is past time for us to say something about our religion, so to speak.
