    Compared to the countless millions thrown at pork barrel projects that go through Congress, every year, that’s hardly the cost of a cocktail sausage, and will actually do something of merit.

    The cost is the cost. As stated above, the CBO is a non-partisan agency and it is only concerned with crunching the numbers provided by congress. That doesn’t mean the issue can’t be debated on it’s merits. As far as I’m concerned, 900 billion for something real is a bargain when compared to the billions/trillions going to vaporous projects in congressional districts that do not even exist.
