27 Drop Post Over Front-page Gay Kiss Photo

A photograph of two men kissing that ran on the front page of The Washington Post has caused at least two dozen people to cancel their subscriptions.

The photo was taken last Wednesday, the day same-sex couples could apply for marriage licenses in Washington, and ran in the paper the next day. The paper’s ombudsman, Andrew Alexander, reported on his blog that 27 subscribers canceled their subscriptions, specifically citing the photo.

Is a newspaper not where news is reported? Is it not a big story that gays are now tying the knot in D.C.?  I do not understand the big fuss, I kiss my grandmother with more gusto than these two dudes.

Well then, perhaps those 27 will take out a subscription to the National Enquirer. That seems to be more their speed.

Emmm, “Family Values” means straight only. It is clear that the right wing is VERY threatened by a display of affection between two people of the same sex, but revel in the numerous images of violence and gratuitous sex that proliferate on the TUBE. I guess their confidence in being “straight” is shaky!
