FDA agrees to ‘re-examine’ ban on gay blood

Under pressure from a slew of U.S. senators, the Food and Drug Administration yesterday said it would re-examine its policy on banning blood donations from “men who have sex with men (MSM).

This isn’t the first time the FDA ‘re-examined’ its policy. In 2006 the FDA did nothing and those of you wanting to do your part, you probably shouldn’t hold your breathe.
